ISAC FOR IDENTITY AND QTSP

Standards Vulnerability Review

A dedicated subgroup within TG3: Attack Methods & Standards Vulnerability Review.

Purpose

Review emerging identity and (Qualified) trust service standards and regulations before security practices mature. The subgroup identifies exploitable gaps and translates findings into reproducible attack methods and evidence for certification and standardisation.

Activities

  • Examine vulnerabilities, ambiguous requirements and unsafe security assumptions.
  • Analyse immature requirements and exploitable gaps in new or revised standards.
  • Document attack scenarios and feed corrections into Attack Methods and the technical baseline.
  • Contribute findings to certification schemes and ESOs & SDOs through the appropriate liaison and validation process.

Planned outputs

  • ID Standards Vulnerability Review Reports
  • Attack scenarios and evidence for Attack Methods
  • Proposed corrections and technical recommendations

Coordination and validation

The Steering Committee coordinates the groups and validates critical deliverables before adoption or external use. Confidentiality rules apply to operational information and its distribution.
